We update members on FIPO activities in recent months, engaging with the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) and the Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN) on new plans for delivering the CMA order on outcome data and fees for consultants. We also challenge the impact of ‘fee-capping’ and report the imminent publication of a revised and update Medical Practitioners Assurance Framework designed to improve the safety and quality of care patients in the independent sector.
